The hotel has a breathtaking view but lacks some essential room amenities like tea or coffee facilities. The room had a noticeable slope that took some time to adjust to, especially during sleep. The service was exceptionally friendly, with prompt assistance provided in the corridor. The location is convenient for sightseeing and shopping, despite minor room maintenance issues. The dining experience was overall above average, although with room for improvement in certain areas.

The hotel had a few drawbacks like the room being too hot despite the air conditioning not working effectively and being close to a disco, but it definitely needed an upgrade. On the positive side, the service was professional and exceptionally friendly, with thoughtful gestures like pouring disinfectant down the shower drain and a surprise birthday cake. The location was a bit unexpected and uphill, which was not ideal, though convenient for reaching central Edinburgh. The dining experience had some waiting for cooked items but the breakfast plate and quality exceeded expectations.
